Q: What's your advice to someone who's nervous to be on video?

A: My first thought here is….. GET OVER IT! make the first video!

I’ll make this easy for you, it’s going to stink! But, it’s going to give you the confidence to make the second video and the third video. You will learn and grow! You will also begin to understand your audience, what your audience is looking for in your content and how to continue to serve your audience. Now, in a situation where you absolutely can’t get over it or really just don’t want to get over it.

Voice over videos do very well! Record a walk-through of a home, the neighborhood, the restaurants and shops around the home, recreational activities, everything attractive about the home and community!

Put a voiceover and finish with how you can help someone become a homeowner!

Just make sure you get a good microphone to get clean audio. You can get a good microphone for somewhere in the $50 price range on Amazon.

Q: I have a video that is getting much more attention than previous videos. Should I post my next video at my standard posting time the next day? Or, let the video that is getting the attention run its course?

A: On YouTube, you definitely want to let a video that is getting attention get its attention.

When I have a video that’s picking up steam on YouTube, I let it run its course before I post again.

On TikTok and Instagram, I have had success sticking with my normal schedule.

Q: How do you stay on top of the trends without chasing every viral moment?

A: Why not chase every viral moment? Some of your chases are going to fail. Be all right with that, learn from that and come back stronger! Just be sure to make your trend based videos your own. That’s what everyone wants to see!
